Recurring Playground Surface Care
Recurring playground surface care goes well beyond cleaning. Each scheduled visit evaluates the full surface system, services what needs attention, and documents the condition so the playground has a maintained record over time.
CPSC’s current handbook lists surfacing problems, dangerous debris, holes, flakes, buckling of unitary surfacing and vandalism among routine inspection and maintenance issues, and states problems should be corrected as soon as possible. Our recurring program is built around that guidance.
Cleaning improves condition and appearance — it does not restore certified impact performance. We keep maintenance documentation and qualified inspection or impact-testing coordination as separate scopes.
- Debris — leaves, glass, metal, litter, organic material
- Fibers — matting, wear, pile condition
- Infill — displacement, contamination, compaction, deficiency
